I never thought a little jaunt outside my front door would yield horses, tubas, and hats! Here is a picture of the tail end of the Latino parade on 12th street. I went outside to walk around the park, and heard a “neigh.” I contemplated whether a child could make such an sound. About five minutes later I realized I was not imagining things, when I saw about fifty horses as well as Corvettes and Impalas, mariachi big-bands, and Mexican princesses. I didn’t have my camera on me at the time, but maybe you’ll see it too. They are still marching eastward-bound. There’s something about an unexpected parade - I grinned ear to ear all the way home. Plus it reminds me of beautiful Mexico and joyous Latino culture. Between a breakfast of huevos con chorizo and the long train of horse-riders occupying my city street, I guess I got a double dose of my favorite culture for the day .
