Tahoe is full of live music, which just adds to the relaxing atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised to run into James Malone at lunchtime, or rather hear the sounds of his keyboards floating through the afternoon air, up in South Lake Tahoe. James contributed his excellent B3 Hammond skills to my upcoming EP, so we go back a bit and it is always a pleasure to hear him. His band sounded great, and another musical acquaintance, Mike Kelly, was playing the bass. Later in the night, our group went to the coziest lodge up on the North Shore, enjoying the sunset and spirits. We were serenaded by an excellent singer/guitarist, who not only took requests but had a completely wireless set-up so he could walk around room. Now that was sweet!
